Kalin graduated from First English Language School in Sofia and then majored in “European Studies”. At the age of 28, he was already a founder and CEO of an esports startup but realized that the lack of coding skills and experience would greatly impede his future professional development. The way forward? Kalin joined Telerik Academy Alpha, training program for software engineers and just a day after successfully completing the program, he started working at Tick42.

Tung, 24, has a degree in Finance and Accounting and work experience in data processing and accounting. Deyan is 32, proud father of two daughters and has wide experience in business process outsourcing. Both Tung and Deyan had no programming experience prior to joining Telerik Academy.

Telerik Academy was presented with the prestigious IT Project of the Year in Education accolade at the annual ICT Media awards. The Academy was recognized for the integration of the largest Cisco Meraki network in Bulgaria. Martin Manchev has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Master's Degree in Financial Management. For 5 years he gained experience and climbed the career ladder, but at some point he realized this was not his calling. He decided to pursue a career in the IT sector, which provides a more dynamic work environment and more opportunities for professional development.

Programming was just a hobby for Vasil Dininski. He studied “International Economic Relations” at the University of National and World Economy. Driven by his love for information technology, Vasil applied and was accepted to Telerik Academy. As soon as he graduated from the Academy, he started working as a junior software developer at Telerik, and since the beginning of 2017, he is now part of Amazon’s team.

The record breaking 14 medals that Bulgaria won at the last International Informatics Competition in Shumen were just one aspect of the good news for Telerik co—founder Boyko Iaramov. He contributed significantly to the ranking of 4th and 5th graders at the leading 8 positions: they all are trainees of the Telerik Kids Academy.
