Ever fell into the temptation to adopt a senior dev only hiring approach? Seniors, while they do have extensive experience, might be costly and hard to attract and retain, if they’re your only option. What’s the alternative?
At Telerik Academy, we groom top tech talent and connect it with leading businesses where they can further grow and excel. These are successful tech companies that want to have control and predictability when scaling their teams, attribute equal importance to employees’ tech and soft skills and are ready to invest in their continuous professional development.
Employees are the backbone of IT companies and their most important asset. Finding the right people to join is crucial to the organizations’ success but may be a daunting task, especially when you have a relatively small talent pool available and an ever-expanding demand for software engineers.
Telerik Academy Alpha is an-depth practical training for a successful career start in IT. Our number one goal with every Alpha program and cohort is to prepare our students to land their first jobs in IT and help leading tech companies grow and scale by sourcing master junior talent.
Internet of Things (IoT) has become an increasingly popular topic both in the tech world and beyond. Companies like our partners from Bosch Software Innovations (Bosch SI) are tapping into its enormous potential. To tell you more about their Bulgarian office and the talent they’re looking for, we sat and talked with Jordan Simeonov, Head of Backend Products at Bosch SI Sofia and Chief Product Owner of the Bosch IoT Manager.
At Telerik Academy we are connecting leading tech companies with Master Junior talent to power businesses and help learners attain the most in-demand skills, realize their full potential and start a successful career in the industry. We’ve built a strong partner network that constantly evolves and develops.
"I see Telerik Academy as an inseparable part of the ecosystem. If I go back to Telerik, our company couldn’t have expanded so dynamically and achieved such results, if we didn’t have the opportunity to grow in a predictable and planned way, with talent that entered the organization right when we wanted it. There is no other existing organization on the market that can give such a controlled inflow of talent," Telerik Academy Co-founder Boyko Iaramov.
In the end of 2016, Telerik Academy – one of the leading tech-ed organizations in Bulgaria – was spun off from Progress as an independent organization led by the four founders – Svetozar Georgiev, Boyko Iaramov, Vassil Terziev and Hristo Kosev. In an interview for “Dnevnik” they talk about their plans for the Academy.
The record breaking 14 medals that Bulgaria won at the last International Informatics Competition in Shumen were just one aspect of the good news for Telerik co—founder Boyko Iaramov. He contributed significantly to the ranking of 4th and 5th graders at the leading 8 positions: they all are trainees of the Telerik Kids Academy.
Ivan Parvanov, developer and Telerik Academy alumni: “I graduated from Telerik Academy two months ago. Within the first week I received 3 job offers with the help of the Academy. By the end of the second week, I had already signed a contract. The difference between the Academy and universities in general is that practice is core to all training programs at Telerik Academy.”
Telerik Academy’s new programming course aims to address the great need for talent in the tech sector. This is a 6-month course on Java – one of the most popular programming languages in the world. According Telerik Academy, 97% of their alumni work in the IT industry and 70% jumpstart their careers within just 2 months of graduation.
