Program starts
To help you master the fundamental concepts of Java (the programming language used in the QA Alpha program), we’re organizing a free course that will take you from zero coding skills to a successful Alpha applicant in just 6 weeks.
We’ll guide you every step of the way - from setting up your development environment and learning the basics to writing your first lines of code and getting ready for our career-jumpstart program.
You'll learn in a small group,
allowing for a tailored teaching approach that will boost your results. To succeed you must be fully committed to the course, attend all lectures and spend additional time for self-preparation.
Prerequisite: No programming skills are required. You must complete your Alpha application and pass our cognitive assessment by Nov 8.
Eligibility: Participants will be selected based on their application and overall motivation.
Schedule: 5 Saturdays (10:00 am - 1:00 pm) and 1 Thursday (07:00 pm - 10:00 pm) - Nov 14, 21, 28 and Dec 5, 12 and 17.
Commitment: 100% participation. Expect weekly on average 3 hours for training and 10+ hours for self-prep.
During the first 2.5 months of the training, you’ll go from absolute beginner to advanced in Java programming. Object-oriented programming, HTML and CSS, JavaScript, and creating high quality code – you’ll master them all. In the next 3.5 months, you’ll learn best QA practices and get hands-on experience with the most popular software testing tools.
20% of the program is dedicated to polishing your soft skills. Our Learning and Development Trainers will help you develop your ability to manage feedback and expectations, ask the right questions, prioritize and stick to your high-value activities.
At Telerik Academy Alpha QA you will:
Basic programming knowledge (language of your choice) and good English language skills. No previous experience in the IT industry required.
Lectures are held 2-3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 7:00-10:00 pm). Will be held online partially or fully, depending on the COVID-19 situation.
To get the most out of the program and then jumpstart a rewarding career, you’ll need to focus on your studies for 6 months. You can maintain a part-time or even a non-demanding full-time job during the program as long as this doesn’t interfere with your progress.
Expect an average of 9-12+ hours per week and additional time for self-preparation.
Courses are conducted in Bulgarian, but all learning materials are in English.
