Kalin graduated from First English Language School in Sofia and then majored in “European Studies”. At the age of 28, he was already a founder and CEO of an esports startup but realized that the lack of coding skills and experience would greatly impede his future professional development. The way forward? Kalin joined Telerik Academy Alpha, training program for software engineers and just a day after successfully completing the program, he started working at Tick42.
Tung, 24, has a degree in Finance and Accounting and work experience in data processing and accounting. Deyan is 32, proud father of two daughters and has wide experience in business process outsourcing. Both Tung and Deyan had no programming experience prior to joining Telerik Academy.

Martin Manchev has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Master's Degree in Financial Management. For 5 years he gained experience and climbed the career ladder, but at some point he realized this was not his calling. He decided to pursue a career in the IT sector, which provides a more dynamic work environment and more opportunities for professional development.
Programming was just a hobby for Vasil Dininski. He studied “International Economic Relations” at the University of National and World Economy. Driven by his love for information technology, Vasil applied and was accepted to Telerik Academy. As soon as he graduated from the Academy, he started working as a junior software developer at Telerik, and since the beginning of 2017, he is now part of Amazon’s team.
Telerik Academy won the grand prize among all categories and competing against 70+ companies across different industries – “Best Company of 2020”. The Academy took home yet another award – “Best Company of 2020 in the Education Category”. The ceremony brought together 400 people, eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners.

More than 30% of all ICT specialists in Bulgaria are women, according to Eurostat. This is the story of two of them - Maria and Iskra. After leaving Progress in the end of 2016, Telerik’s four founders – Boyko Iaramov, Vassil Terziev, Svetozar Georgiev and Hristo Kosev, spun off the tech-ed organization they created in 2009 – Telerik Academy – into an independent company. Their idea is to transform the project into a self-sustaining business, grooming talent for all companies in the IT ecosystem, as well as to continue to train children and high school students for free. These plans include the current building.
