In a year like never before, we look back at some of our key moments from 2020. It challenged all of us as individuals and served up one too many plot twists, but at least one thing is for sure - change is the new normal. And just like you, we kept adapting and growing to answer your needs. Here’s what happened in the past 12 months.
2019 was a big year for Telerik Academy. We’ve launched several brand-new programs, moved to an amazing building of our own, grew the team with 33% and greatly expanded Telerik Academy School’s training centers around the country.
With the continuously growing demand for IT talents and compensations higher than the average for Bulgaria, more and more people pursue dev careers. At the end of 2017, Telerik Academy – one of the leading tech-ed organizations in Bulgaria – was spun off from Progress as an independent organization led by the four founders – Svetozar Georgiev, Boyko Iaramov, Vassil Terziev and Hristo Kosev. Almost all of Telerik Academy graduates (98%) successfully start a career in the IT industry. More than half of them (58%) receive remunerations higher than the ones in the software industry and for 80% their salaries are higher than the average for the country.
97% of the Telerik Academy Alpha graduates today live and work in Bulgaria. Nearly 70% start working in IT in less than 2 months from their studies’ end, followed soon after by the rest. Almost all are very happy with their current living standard.
