Successful careers no longer have to be a straight line. Many of Telerik Academy‘s alumni come from various academic and professional backgrounds with little to no previous programming experience and manage to seamlessly switch careers, landing an exciting job in IT.
Iliyan Gogov’s professional journey is one of many such stories. After graduating from the Technical University in Sofia with a major in Mechanical Engineering, he decided to pursue a different career path and dived into the business world and sales. Realizing his work was no longer a positive and challenging experience and driven by his passion for technology, Iliyan decided to make a change. He joined Telerik Academy Alpha to become a sought-after software developer.
Launching a new career
Iliyan shares the success of our alumni attracted him most to the program and however high his expectations were at the start, they were met and surpassed by the end of the training.
“Telerik Academy helped me tremendously to kick-start my IT career. He expanded his skill set with a sound knowledge of both backend and frontend technologies, databases, creating high quality code, proprietary design, and unit testing.
