Telerik Academy Secures EU Grant to Develop AI Coding Tutor

Telerik Academy has been awarded an EU grant to bring to life an exciting new innovation: an AI-powered coding tutor designed to support modern training. The project, funded under the Innovation Development in Enterprises procedure of the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Program 2021–2027, is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

With a total budget of BGN 666,660—nearly BGN 400,000 of which comes from grant funding—the initiative aims to boost Telerik Academy's innovation capacity and sharpen its competitive edge in the fast-moving tech landscape.

At the heart of the project is the development of a smart, responsive coding tutor that leverages AI to offer personalized mentorship, content assessment, and integration with real educational environments. The goal? To validate the concept, build a working prototype, and test it with actual users in a learning setting.

This marks a big step forward in Telerik Academy’s mission to blend technology, education, and innovation in meaningful ways.
