So, who are the people that make up our team?
Meet Petar Raykov, Technical Training Manager at Telerik Academy and Zhaklin Smilkova, Graphic Designer. We asked them a few questions so you could get to know them better.

Meet Petar Raykov, Technical Training Manager
Can you explain as simply as possible what you do at Telerik Academy?
As a technical training manager, I support and guide my team, and we work together to elevate our Alpha programs to new heights and deliver a life-changing training experience.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The sense of fulfilment that comes from overcoming challenges with my colleagues is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.
What is the last book you read?
"Starlight and Storm" by Gaston Rebuffat. It presents climbing as a harmonious communion with the mountain, not a battle waged against it.
Tell us one curious fact about you:
From time to time, I brew beer.
Meet Zhaklin Smilkova, Graphic Designer
Can you explain as simply as possible what you do at Telerik Academy?
As a graphic designer, a significant part of my responsibilities involves creating various types of designs for our company's social media platforms. I also work on a range of design projects, from print materials to swag items and more, providing any design assistance needed to make them look great!
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part is undoubtedly the team. They're not just great professionals but also incredible people. Everyone is always open to discussing new ideas and collaborating. I feel so lucky to have the creative freedom to express myself and have my ideas heard. We often share jokes, send pictures of our pets, kids, and plants or even go to yoga classes together.
What is the last book you read?
The last book I read was 'Still Life' by Sarah Winman. What I loved most about this novel was how it romanticized the everyday aspects of life and how discovering art can completely change your life and choices.
Tell us one curious fact about you:
As a child, I was incredibly stubborn, so when my art teacher advised my parents never to let me quit drawing, I rebelled and stopped drawing for the next 10 years. But in my senior year of high school, I rediscovered my passion for art and decided to pursue a career in graphic design. I haven't looked back since. :)
