Going from Gamer to Software Developer

Alexander Georgiev is a passionate gamer who used to work in the gaming industry, coaching others and commenting on tournaments. At the age of 23 and with no previous programming experience, Alexander joined Telerik Academy Alpha in order to pursue a new career - this time in IT. Just a month after successfully completing the program, he joined Experian as a Junior Software Developer.

Coventry University graduate chose Telerik Academy to switch careers

Valentin graduated from Coventry University with a degree in Sports Therapy, eager to make a positive impact. After starting his practice, he realized, however, this was not his true calling. So, Valentin decided to make a total career change, which brought him to Telerik Academy. He successfully completed the Alpha JavaScript program and shortly after that kickstarted his IT career at Tick42.

Kalin Kostov: studying at Telerik Academy is the best investment I’ve ever made

Kalin graduated from First English Language School in Sofia and then majored in “European Studies”. At the age of 28, he was already a founder and CEO of an esports startup but realized that the lack of coding skills and experience would greatly impede his future professional development. Tung, 24, has a degree in Finance and Accounting and work experience in data processing and accounting. Deyan is 32, proud father of two daughters and has wide experience in business process outsourcing. Both Tung and Deyan had no programming experience prior to joining Telerik Academy.

Bulgaria ranks among the top five countries in the world in informatics with over 100 medals

Close to 100% of Telerik Academy graduates successfully start their careers

Almost all of Telerik Academy graduates (98%) successfully start a career in the IT industry. More than half of them (58%) receive remunerations higher than the ones in the software industry and for 80% their salaries are higher than the average for the country.
