Founded back in 2009, Telerik Academy is the first large private tech-ed initiative in Bulgaria. Telerik’s founders Svetozar Georgiev, Boyko Iaramov, Vassil Terziev, and Hristo Kosev created the Academy to prepare IT talent for their company’s needs. But it quickly outgrew this initial purpose. Soon, Telerik Academy started grooming leading talent for the entire industry and preparing kids of all ages for the jobs of the future.
In 2017, the founders spun off Telerik Academy into an independent organization and a partner to all companies. Today it fuels the teams of hundreds of businesses, big and small, local and multinational with top tech talent.
The 1st and still #1
In the last decade, we’ve been working hard to fulfill our mission – connecting Bulgarian talent, organizations and training resources to advance personal development, professional careers and grow the IT ecosystem. We’ve pioneered IT career jumpstart programs and launched free private trainings for kids, paving the way for other tech-ed organizations.

Our success is our alumni success. That’s why we’re extremely proud that 100% of our graduates work in tech and 97% live in Bulgaria. Some augment their tech skills, others switch careers and others find an opportunity to come back to Bulgaria – whatever the background they all land a promising career in IT and start transforming their lives.

Currently, I work for a great company, OfficeRnD, which has been named a Startup of the Year for 2019,” shares our alumni Vladimir Tumbev, who returned from England to jumpstart his career as a software developer.

Telerik Academy’s partner program is on a mission to help businesses grow in a predictable and sustainable way. We give our partner companies access to talent that has both the in-demand tech skills (Java, .NET, JavaScript and QA) and soft skills.
Our Master Juniors’ key competitive advantages include in-depth tech skills, real-world practical experience, and highly augmented soft skills. In fact, 87% of our Master Juniors find learning new programming languages easy, whereas 67% move on to the next career level within their first year on the job.

On November 1st, we brought our alumni, partners, and friends together to celebrate Telerik Academy’s 10th anniversary.
We were happy to reunite the community, share our success stories, and celebrate our milestones together.
We welcomed each guest with a gift for our birthday – exclusive anniversary T-shirt and ninja stickers.
Telerik Academy’s CEO Alexandra Mechkova and co-founders took the stage, talking about our mission and major milestones throughout the years. Co-founder Svetozar Georgiev invited the team to join them on stage and take a picture with the birthday cake.
All guests transitioned to Campus X’s main building to make a group photo and see the special exhibition showing Telerik Academy’s evolution through the years.
After remembering their happy times at Telerik Academy, the guests returned to the party. The music was on, people dancing, talking, and having a great time.
